Back to where it all began:
David chose the website domain Lost River Law in honor of Lost River Township, where David’s ancestors settled in 1818. David is a 7th-generation “Jones” from Martin County. Like most early settlers his ancestors were farmers. In 1879, his 3rd great grandfather Mac Jones was commissioned as a Justice of the Peace in Rusk. David’s second great-grandfather, first great-grandfather, and grandfather were all born in Rusk. His dad grew up on Dover Hill Road and his Mom grew up near Whitfield. Both his parents attended Loogootee High School and Indiana University.
